Device Specific SMT BGA Emulator Adapters
Emulation Technology has designed the industry's first Ball Grid Array
(BGA) emulator adapters.
These adapters support the Motorola 68HC16Z1 16-bit microcrontroller
in a BGA package. The chip is used in embedded applications. The emulator
adapters connect the BGA pads from the 68HC16Z1 microcontroller to an emulator
pod that has a quad flatpack socket footprint. Without these adapters,
it is virtually impossible to gain access to the BGA pads on the target
board.

Features
- Reaps higher manufacturing yields since leads are absent; coplanarity is avoided
- Can have a higher resonant frequency than QFPs
- Require less board space and are easier to test than QFPs in high pin counts
- Has a smaller footprint than a comparable QFP

How to Order
1) Find your chip in the table below.
2) Check your chip package footprint in the Footprint
Section.
3) If you don't see the part you need in the table call the factory
or your local distributor for assistance.
